San Jose, California, USA. This 32,000 square foot biotech incubator includes both wet and dry labs and laboratory support areas. The challenge was to provide the appropriate facilities and building services to make the facility flexible for multiple and changing tenants who will each have unique short-term needs. The project was designed to make it possible for tenants to become operational quickly and inexpensively, without renovations.

The San Jose BioCenter was the recipient of two prestigious awards at the National Business Incubator Association's 23rd International Conference on Business Incubation: the 2009 Dinah Adkins Incubator of the Year for Technology, and the Randall M. Whaley Incubator of the Year.
